What does it mean to license artwork?

Licensing artwork means you are granted permission to use a specific design for a defined purpose, duration, and scope. Copyright ownership remains with Zenarte unless otherwise agreed in writing.

No. Licensing does not transfer ownership. You receive usage rights only, as defined in the licensing agreement.

Original mandalas, surface pattern designs, and illustrations from Zenarte’s existing catalog, as well as custom-developed artwork created specifically for your project.

Artwork may be licensed for use on products such as textiles, home décor, stationery, packaging, apparel, digital media, and promotional materials, depending on the agreed terms.

Licenses are granted for a defined period, which may be short-term or long-term depending on the project. Duration is specified in the agreement.

No. Artwork may not be used as a logo or trademark unless specifically licensed for that purpose.

Yes. Custom mandalas, illustrations, and seamless patterns can be developed to meet brand-specific requirements. Custom work is quoted and licensed separately.

No. Artwork purchased or printed through platforms such as Spoonflower or Etsy is subject to those platforms’ own terms and is typically intended for personal or limited use.

Commercial or large-scale brand use requires direct licensing through Zenarte.

Pricing is based on factors such as usage type, product category, exclusivity, duration, territory, and whether the artwork is existing or custom.

How Your Information Is Used

Scope of Use

Licensed artwork may be used only for the specific product categories, media, duration, territory, and quantities defined in the licensing agreement. Any additional use requires prior written approval.

Exclusivity

Exclusivity, if granted, applies strictly within the agreed scope and does not extend beyond the defined product category, territory, or license duration.

Alterations & Adaptations

Artwork may not be altered, modified, or adapted beyond agreed adjustments unless expressly permitted in writing. Color or scale adjustments do not imply permission for structural modification.

Sub-Licensing

Sub-licensing, resale, or transfer of licensed artwork to third parties is not permitted unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Production Responsibility

The licensee is responsible for ensuring that artwork is used in compliance with local regulations, manufacturing standards, and product safety requirements.

Credit & Attribution

Where applicable, credit and attribution terms will be outlined in the licensing agreement. Absence of attribution does not imply ownership transfer.

Termination

Zenarte reserves the right to terminate a license if the artwork is used outside the agreed scope or in violation of the licensing terms.

File Delivery

Final artwork files are delivered in professional, production-ready formats. File delivery does not grant additional usage rights beyond the licensed scope.

Trademark & Logo Use

Licensed artwork may not be registered as a trademark, logo, or brand identifier unless expressly licensed for that purpose.

Moral Rights

Zenarte retains moral rights to the artwork and reserves the right to restrict use that is misleading, unlawful, or harmful to the integrity of the work.

Governing Law

All licensing agreements are governed by the laws of India, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accuracy of Information

While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, information on this website may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or outdated details.
